Rugs weaving has been known for a very long time. There is a lot of defferent types of rugs of different shapes, sizes and color. Most of the presently produced rugs are machine made or you need to know a lot about weaving to make a rug. But there is an exeption - several rug types you can easily make yourself right in your home.
One of that typea are the braided rugs. The procces of making braided rugs is very simple and consist of three basic spetps. First of of all some fiber has to be braided into long stripes. For braided rugs you can can you any fiber available - whether it is natural or synthetic.
At the second stepof making braided rugs these stripes are colored into desired color. You may happen to find fiber colored just the way you need for your braided rugs design then you may pass this step. And at the end these stripes are tied together to form toyr braided rugs.
People started to make braided rugs out of need to reuse all they had.
So they used their old blakets and worn clothes to make braided rugs of them. And first braided rugs were made only for utilitarin purposes. It is later that people understood the great ability of decoration that braided rugs can give and they started to use braided rugs to beautify their homes.
