People have been making rugs for a very long period of time. Firstly they were just skins of killed animal used as covering from bed weather condition but later man started to make rugs from old clothes and of animal wool. That is how the art of rugs weaving had started. Area rugs were among the first ever woven rugs on the planet and they have a long history. But it is unclear where the first example of area rugs was firstly made. Some people believe that art of making area rugs has started somewhere in Persia while the ohers are sure that area rugs were born in Mongolia. These days we can not say for sure where area rugs came from but it was somewhere in asian region. Most widely used material for making area rugs is wool. It gives them their great qualities - they are soft but at the same time durable. As any other regular type of rugs area rugs are available on the market in huge variety of differnt form, sizes and colors. Thanks to the modern technology of dye-coloring almost any color scheme can be nowadays obtained in area rugs. That gives a great number of possible designs and motifs and area rugs can be used for different purposes. Many modern area rugs are made of synthetic material with machines. That makes them cheaper then the area rugs made of natural wool(and much cheaper then hand made area rugs). So you can save some money buying synthetic area rugs. But nothing can not compare with nice and warm feel that natural hand made area rugs can bring into your home. | ||||||
